More experimental pieces linking towards my final outcome

This experimental piece has been created using a thick layer of wall paint in the colour Silk and I've basically added salt on top of the layer and mixed it together to form a crumbling effect towards the paint, I then washed it over with black watercolour paint and left it to dry naturally.

For this piece I added tissue paper which has been dipped within pale blue wall paint to recreate a peeling effect I also added both dark brown and black washes of watercolour paints to give this piece more of an aged and decayed effect which would adapt well towards half of the final outcome.

This piece has two layers of mixed paint, the first being wall paint and acrylic which was silk and brown I then added dark grey acrylic for the top layer and whilst it was drying I scrapped away some of the second layer to reveal the first layer using the sharp edge of a kitchen knife. I added a wash of black watercolour for added detail and to make the scratch marking seem more in-depth.
